Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done;
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
For thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory
Now and forever.

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned.

29 But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and obey him. 31 For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath.

Deuteronomy 4:29-31

OOC: Backstory

Isabel and Graham Creed were good Christians, well-respected in their town, pitied for years when they weren't able to have children. They went to church every week, confession every month, Isabel worked with the poor of the town and counseled the girls who were no better than they should be when their actions had the inevitable consequences. And then, one day when Isabel and Graham had come to terms with the fact that they weren't going to have children, one of the prostitutes died in childbirth, leaving behind a tiny baby girl.

Isabel counseled against it, but Graham insisted, and they adopted the baby, called her Ivy and raised her as their own. They never hid the fact of Ivy's birth from her, but they made a good little girl of her. Ivy Creed went to church each Sunday and said her prayers every night, and she grew up believing that God was in everything, even the dirty girls who tempted men for money, the deviants whose sexual practices were immoral and wrong, the freaks who defied God's plan by being something other.

When Ivy was fourteen, Isabel was killed in a fire in Texas while visiting her cousin Meredith. Graham blamed Meredith, who had been a single mother and, he always said, possessed looser morals than a cat. Ivy nodded and paid attention to her schoolwork, and when she was sixteen she won a prize for being the best at Chemistry in the country. Graham was proud of her, and told her that she'd go far one day, if she was a good girl and did what God wanted her to do.

When Ivy was twenty-one, Graham died in a freak lightning storm, and Ivy decided that it was God's plan for her to do her work alone, and that that work was finding the deviants who could do things that were outside of God's plan and kill them. It was for the greater good.

Ivy discovered, when she was twenty-eight, that she knew who had powers that mortals should not have. She knew, and that made her mission that much easier. She didn't have to have deviant powers like they did to kill them, after all.

Ivy turned twenty-nine in October of 2005, and had been moving across the country, hunting and crucifying. She felt it only fair to give them the same chance as the robbers on the hill had; the chance to repent. It wasn't their fault that their very existence was sinful, after all; she was cleansing their souls, to allow them the chance to enter Heaven.

It was as it should be.
